My story
My creative career began in 2007 at the Market Photo Workshop in Newtown, Johannesburg.
For two years, I explored my world through the lens in fashion, events, and portraits.
In 2009, I was employed as a photography department assistant at the historical, Sowetan.
During my 5-year stay there, the newsroom battered, groomed and refined me into a fearless writer; another talent that was born from my adventurous past.
My young, gifted and reckless self thought the world to be my oyster and I hastily departed to continue exploring.
I then ventured into entrepreneurship where my father and I started an African cuisine restaurant in our Orlando West backyard. Mytiso-Panini Pozzie grew into a lifestyle food brand at local weekend markets around Soweto.
Umuzi.org is where I studied Copywriting to earn my official qualification in advertising and continue my journey in creative writing.
My first stint in the industry was in the form of Junior Copywriter at FoxP2 - JHB. In 2019, I transferred to Black River FC to expand my role as a conceptual Copywriter.
While the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world, my life took a turn and I became a mother for the first time. This blessing inspired me to think bigger and work harder to become the woman that my daughter can be inspired by.
I am currently a freelance writer and continuing to build a legacy through entrepreneurship.
